SERP analyzer is a winner

Frase is way more affordable than Clearscope, especially if you snag the yearly discount. their SERP Analyzer alone saved me about 20 hours last month. really good value for the price. 🙌

Frase consistently delivers!

Another solid renewal for Frase, got the yearly discount, and the Meta Description Generator is so helpful.

Good for content, minor issues

I bought a yearly subscription to Frase for the AI Content Editor and the SERP Analyzer. The content editor really sped up my workflow for blog posts, and the SERP analysis gave me solid insights. However, the WordPress Plugin was a bit clunky to set up, and I had a couple of formatting issues when exporting directly. Overall, good value for the yearly price, but there's room for improvement on the plugin side.

Decent tool for the price

I just signed up for Frase, trying out their basic plan for the AI Writing Assistant and the Outline Generator. I got it during a promotional period, which made the yearly cost much more appealing than monthly. It's pretty good for what I paid; the outlines are a time-saver. I think it's a solid tool if you catch it on a good deal.

Consistent performance for SEO

This was my third year with Frase, renewing my annual plan. I mainly use the Content Optimization Tool and the Topic Research Tool. It's consistently reliable; I know what I'm getting. The AI Writing Assistant has definitely gotten better since I first started using it, which is a nice bonus. No surprises, just solid SEO help.

My annual renewal for Frase just hit and the price was way higher than last year. Anyone else notice this?

S SanjayM 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
I switched to the Solo plan from a Team one because of the price increase. Lost some features but it's more manageable now.
9
N NehaK 1 week ago
Good idea. I might have to consider that.
0
S SanjayM 1 week ago
Mostly the team workspace and user management. For a single person, Solo is fine.
8
V VikramJ 1 week ago
How big was the difference in features you actually noticed?
5
P PoojaR 1 week ago
Yeah, that's pretty common for subscriptions with intro offers. The 'renewal discount' they sometimes mention isn't always as good as the first-year deal.
8
N NehaK 1 week ago
True, but it still stings when it's such a jump.
6
V VikramJ 1 week ago
Mine was too! I got the initial 60% off yearly billing promo, but the renewal was full price. Felt a bit misled there.

A ArjunP 1 week ago
Same here. I think they bank on people forgetting their initial discount.

Did you try contacting support about it?

My annual Frase renewal just came through and it's a lot higher than I remember paying last year. Anyone else notice a big jump?

S Sneha 4 weeks ago
I actually got a better deal by upgrading to the team plan, weirdly enough. The per-user cost became lower.

P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
Interesting. I'll look into that, thanks!
4
R RahulK 4 weeks ago
Yeah, mine too! I think they stopped the introductory discount. I was on the annual plan for 60% off and now it's closer to the monthly rate even with yearly billing.
1
P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
That's exactly what I suspected. So annoying how they do that.
1
A AmitM 4 weeks ago
Did you try contacting support? Sometimes they offer a renewal discount if you ask.
7
D Deepak91 4 weeks ago
I switched to a monthly plan after my first year because of that. The 'annual discount' wasn't really a discount anymore. Might be worth checking if a smaller plan makes sense now.
9
P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
Good idea. I'm barely using half the features anyway.

Thinking of switching over from Surfer SEO to Frase, anyone made that jump recently?

D DeepakG 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
For me, the AI Agent in Frase is a game-changer. It helps generate whole sections of content based on your brief. Surfer doesn't have anything quite like it.
20
A AnandS 1 month ago
Interesting, that's a big plus.
7
R Rahul87 1 month ago
Does it save a lot of time?
5
D DeepakG 1 month ago
Definitely. It handles a lot of the initial drafting.
3
R Rahul87 1 month ago
I'm still on the fence. I use Surfer for the content audit tool a lot. How does Frase's Content Audit stack up?
2
P PriyaM 1 month ago
It's decent, but maybe not as deep as Surfer. It gives good suggestions for optimization though.
8
P PriyaM 1 month ago
I did about 6 months ago. The AI Writing Assistant and Content Editor in Frase are pretty good, especially for generating intro paragraphs and outlines quickly. Surfer felt a bit more technical on the SEO side, but Frase's workflow is smoother for content creation.
11
A AnandS 1 month ago
Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. Was the learning curve steep?
1
P PriyaM 1 month ago
Not really, Frase is pretty intuitive. Took a day or two to get used to it.

Is there usually a Black Friday deal? I'm thinking of signing up for the yearly plan but don't want to miss a better discount.

D Dan 1 month ago
They definitely do Black Friday sales. I snagged a pretty sweet deal last year, saved like 30-40% I think? Might be worth holding off a bit if you can.
1
S Sam K. 1 month ago
Yep, they usually have something around then. Also Cyber Monday. If you're going yearly anyway, you get a good chunk off just for that, but the seasonal stuff can add to it.

Thinking of getting Frase for my small content team, mostly for the AI writing stuff. How does it compare to Jasper or Scalenut for generating content ideas and drafts?

C Carly Z. 1 month ago
Frase is pretty solid for the SEO side of things. It's more about optimizing for search engines and less about just cranking out words like Jasper. I'd say if your main goal is ranking, Frase wins.
1
S Sophie 1 month ago
Yeah, I used Scalenut for a bit and it was okay, but Frase's content briefs and optimization features are way more in-depth. For pure content generation, Jasper might feel faster initially, but Frase gets you better quality for SEO out of the gate.

Can you actually cancel your subscription easily? Some of these tools make it a nightmare.

A Alex 1 month ago
Yeah, I canceled once during a trial and it was no problem. Just a few clicks in the settings.

Super easy. Did it myself when I upgraded plans. No hoops to jump through at all, which was a relief honestly.

Been using Frase for a few months for content briefs and the SERP Analyzer. Thinking about trying the AI writer more, but concerned about the limits. What are people's experiences with the AI writing limits on the basic plans?

V Vikram 15 hours ago
I mostly use it for rewriting paragraphs and generating product descriptions. For that, the limits on the basic plan are usually enough for me. Depends on your volume, I guess.
6
R Rajat87 14 hours ago
Good to know. Product descriptions could be useful.
0
K Kiran 13 hours ago
Same here, small tasks are fine.
8
P PoojaR 14 hours ago
On the Solo plan, the AI writing limits can be a bit tight if you're generating full articles. It's fine for intros, outlines, and sentence expansion, but for long-form content, you hit the cap pretty quick.
2
R Rajat87 14 hours ago
That's what I feared. I mostly need it for blog post intros and summaries, so maybe it'll be okay.
8
A Anjali 13 hours ago
Yeah, for outlines and snippets it's great. Full drafts, not so much unless you have a higher plan.
3
N Neha 13 hours ago
Consider the Team plan if you plan to use the AI writer heavily. The limits are much more generous there, but it's a jump in price.
8
R Rajat87 11 hours ago
Not ready for a team plan yet, but good to keep in mind.
2
C coolboy88 11 hours ago
Or combine it with another AI tool if you need high volume without the team cost.

how are the AI writing limits? i'm planning on using it a lot for outlines and meta descriptions for a bunch of articles.

B Ben Marsh 1 month ago
They're pretty generous, especially compared to some others. I write a ton of short-form stuff like metas and intros and haven't hit a wall. You get a good amount of credits.
4
A Anna C. 1 month ago
It depends on your plan. Check the pricing page for the specific limits for each tier. But for outlines and small bits, you should be fine, unless you're doing hundreds a day.
